Bio: Stoney has been a mainstay of the underground hip-hop scene for the last five years. A very talented MC, his rhymes are clever, deft and agile as he swings from his mic cord like tarzan eliminating whack MC's along the way. With classic old school beats and a get fresh flow, Stoney Lawless makes other rappers jealous with his impeccable lyricism. With lyrics that remind me of other underground heroes, Murs , Slug and Atmosphere, Sage Francis and all the other true badasses that aren't so underground anymore. With beats that remind me of the Pharcyde and Nas' first album you couldn't ask for a better combo in Hip Hop. You got dope beats and dope lyrics and that's a deadly combination, like Harlem's Finest, and I don't use that reference lightly. If Stoney keeps grindin then the sky is the limit.

Hailing from Minnesota, Lawless relocated to Beantown a few years ago and has been constantly firing up bowls and letting rapid-fire rhymes spew forth into microphones and recording software along the way. I used to see him walking the streets around haviland and Mass. ave back in the day when I too roamed Back Bay. The only place you can find this classic badassness is on his myspace page so check it out. If I can get in touch with him, I will try my hardest to get him on the first Freakjams mixtape coming out in the next lightyear for all domes! Stoney Lawless is a real MC so get with the flowgram!

Bio: Odin's sword swings heavy upon those that dare defy Strangelove Ocean! This instrumental Funk-Metal-Fusion band swings Dolemite sized booty thunder. But at the same time, they exhort brutal barbarian rage that can also invoke heady reggae jams at will. The metallic primordial groove sauce that is Strangelove Ocean will kick you in your pants! Harmonized twin guitars soar over volcanic bass activity and earth-pounding beats. A very original mix of thrash funk, creeper crunk, and megadestruction that will magiker you. Fozzy Crosbourne "The King of Chorus" if I'm not mistaken, immortalizes a local hero from the loveliest village on the plains. This hero can still be found jammin on a chariot of chorus at key shows in the area. Paying tribute to the old gods, heroes and ways of the elders is part of Strangelove's creed. And it is because of this creed that Strangelove is an essential part of Freakjams.

Strangelove Ocean had many years together on the high seas rocking defiantly to spite their enemies. After filling their bellies with wine and their coffers with silver, they have at last returned to their wives and families. Having enough of their days of pillaging, they are now living out their lives in the abundance of wealth. Although not still touring, they have a yet-to-be released album in the works! Since the retirement of Strangelove Ocean, they have all changed their identities and sometimes choose to pump raw crunk juice into the atmosphere with other groups. However, sometimes on a full moon and when the planets are aligned, you may chance to hear a name echoing through the hills, halls and ale houses...... Strangelove!

Bio: Our first artist profile is dedicated to the nefarious, infamous, Boston based Hip-Hop group, The Pu$$ycat Pimpz. What can I say, or rather not say about these guys? This group is currently in hibernation, taking an extended hiatus after their sold out shows at large stadiums and arenas in the Northeast. Their music can be described as "Genius" - The Washington Post, for their lyrical mastery and "breathtaking majesty of form and skill" - DJ Tray Boner mix 96.7. The height of these guys career was between 2004-2007, when most of their hits were recorded. Songs like, "Is This a Barn?"; "Sex on My Love" and "Time To Get Krunk!" were all recorded around that time.

The group began in 2004 with MC Shang, MC Crimelord, and MC Sikky D recording their first single in their college dorm. Wanting to stay underground, the three MC's worked hard to make sure their Hot Fire spread slowly and under control. Soon the crew expanded to just under twenty members with the likes of The Victorious U.D.A., MC Squibs, MC Nusty AKA The Wolfmang, MC Nista - The Sinista Sista, Professor Pax, Dr. Domes, Ramses, L.I.F.E. Control, MC Planet, Titus of Gaul, Black Tongue, Slaughter Beast, Dr. Light, MC Stones and others... There agility is unmatched on the mike. Now with seven complete albums (none of them are currently commercially available) they remain originators true to their art form. Look out for the P.C.P. reunion coming in the next light-year for your dome!
